I do like the Archibald Prize competition. It is always controversial, and I rarely like the winner. This year is different. I find it rather good, sort of surreal. It is, as often is the case, controversial, given that there is no face in the picture, and it is a portrait prize. I usually prefer the "Packers" prize, namely the worthless one given by the people, dare I say, "guys", who unpack the pictures. Anyway, in my amateur's opinion, I think it is good.
I can't really take experts. If you like it, then it must be good, surely?

The Sulman Prize I am less aware of, but this reminds me of Edward Hopper. "The Automat" perhaps? I think that is the name. Regardless, I like it too.
